About Us

Sandra has spent 17 years working in the field of Chinese Antiquities in the UK and Hong Kong. She has helped source items for clients all over the world and has a thorough knowledge of Chinese pottery from the Neolithic through to the Ming Dynasty. Through her work, Sandra has garnered an enviable depth of knowledge of early Chinese pottery which is well respected

After 14 years working in the Far East, David returned to London with Sandra to establish Little River Oriental Antiques. During his time in Asia, David worked as warehouseman in a renowned company. Here he developed his knowledge of Chinese antiquities and furniture, as well as his love of Japanese carpentry and furniture making. His previous employment in the hotel trade took him all over the Far East and Southeast Asia where he found his passion for collecting Asian art.

Little River Oriental Antiques is a member of the London and Provincial Antique Dealers Association (LAPADA) and abides by its laws and regulations.

Pieces sold by us are accompanied by a detailed condition report of each object, stating its age, condition and a description. Many pieces have been subject to a Thermoluminescence Test by Oxford Authentication Ltd. We are always happy to provide such a test (for a fee), should such a firing test be required on any other suitable piece.
